SC Pride to raise $5,000 to repay state’s ad debt

The Board of the South Carolina Pride Movement has decided to raise the $5,000 necessary to pay the debt owed by the state for the 'South Carolina is so gay' ads created for London Gay Pride Week. SC Pride will launch their fundraising campaign on their website today with a banner proclaiming: South Carolina WILL BE ‘So Gay’.

South Carolina Gay Tourism Not 'So Gay', Says Conservatives

Some South Carolina residents are up in arms over an international advertising campaign that touts the state as a gay-friendly destination. Tourism posters proclaiming 'South Carolina is so gay' were plastered all over London last week to coincide with London’s Gay Pride Week, but state tourism officials have now disavowed the campaign and insisted that they had known nothing about it.

Since my ex moved out and my new roommate moved in I have been spending a much larger chunk of my free time at the coffee shop on the corner. At my coffeehouse the sidewalk is where it is at! We banter about topics from ranging politics, fashion, entertainment to literature. No subject is off limits. It is like The View except there is much more caffeine and nicotine to fuel the rants and flame the fires of passionate discussion.

Big Gay Beach Day

Over 300 people showed up for the first annual Big Gay Beach Day. There was music, plenty of food, a tug-of-war contest, sandcastle contest, hot body contest, best bathing suit contest, and a wet t-shirt contest. It was six hours of fun in the sun complete with fabulous décor. Rainbow flags festooned the path from the street to the beach and marked the section of the beach that was deemed a “hater free zone!”
